Well i don’t know for the chest, but i know that Push-Ups and Sit-ups do help your abs. Your sit-ups excercise your cardiac muscles and the more you do, the more your muscles and your abs get stronger.

Go out for powerlifting! This sport is not only fun but it hlps you get in shape and stay! Maybe I will meet you if you lift. Sure I’m a girl but that doesn’t mean anything. If you don’t want to try that do some sit-ups, good mornings, and anything else. If you need anymore help on this just ask me. I’m your girl! Or coach. ;o)

A trainer taught me this one for my abs and it works. Lay on a bench hold on to it and put your legs straight out then bring them in and lift them all the way up in the air lifting your **** off the bench then bring them back to starting position do 3 sets of 15 and trust me you will feel the burn.

    Swiss Ball’s are really good.
You can do all sorts are different work out activities to work on your core.
It’s really worth it. They last forever.
    I think they’re great

for the chest, you can do push up or dips. for push ups, a wider grip focuses more on the chest. For abs, crunches are good for the upper abs and leg raises are good for the lower. Another thing i like to do to work my abs are hanging knee raise with weights. I get a deep burn the next day when i do that. its great!
    Good luck!!

Menshealth has a 100 rep work out routne:

    20 ‘prison’ squats
    20 push-ups (arms wide)
    20 stationary jumps
    5 chin-ups
20 forward lunges (10 per leg)
15 close-grip pushups (arms close together)

    Do this once daily.

push ups for the chest, and don’t do crunches for your abs. lay on your back and put your hands under your ****. then lift your legs and bend at 90degrees. then lift your knees to your chest. that will help

try a circuit workout. you must do at least 30 mins. of cardio then sit ups and push ups everyday, then increase when you feel its getting easy. do at least 3 sets of 15. this will get you ready by summer…

I need to exercise more myself. I find that an exercise vest challenges me when I work out my chest. It adds more resistance and you don’t constantly have to purchase more weights.

The key to good chest and abs is routine and consistancy. That is how you create and keep what you want. It is winter time and I recently read a post today over at http://www.fitandwealthyblog.com about keeping yourself going to the gym during winter. Something cool to check out.

Hold yourself up with a chinup bar or something similar and then pull your legs to your chest, works your abs very well.

The key is to be sure to work the same muscle groups at least three times a week. For lower abs, which can be the hardest to target, lay on your back and lift your legs in the air with your shins parallel to ground. Place some sort of weight on shins for resistance and slowly lower heels to ground and then back up. repeat til burn. workoutticket.com gives tons of great free advice.

For me I found getting a personal trainer for a couple of months worked. As you are able to ask and be shown what exercises you should be doing with the equipment you have. Well worth the money!
